PUNE PARTNERS MEET – JUNE ’16
Around 86 sponsors participated in the Partners’ Meet organized by World Vision India on June 4th, 2016 . World Vision India makes it a point to connect with sponsors every quarter in different cities. This is highly beneficial for both the sponsors and us as an organization. Sponsors are enlightened on the progress of the community and the issues prevalent there. They come to know of various achievements their sponsored child and other children have been able to make. We, on the other hand, learn that sponsors do not stop with just giving contributions, it is their hearts’ desire to see every child break-free from poverty. Ms. Vaishalithai is the director of an NGO initiated by her. The NGO focuses on women and child abuse. She belongs to a community in Pune where World Vision India had served. She used to be introverted and never used to venture out of her home. But after World Vision India’s intervention she was thoroughly empowered and now helps women and children who undergo abuse.
Mayuri is a 2nd year B.Com student and also works with an NGO. She has formed a group called Play for Peace which has 500 girls as members. She also hosts a programme on a Television channel which focuses on child abuse.
These are proud moments for World Vision India – seeing the fruit of our labour in abundance!
Mr. R Ananthan has been sponsoring for 13 years. He shared that he feels proud every time he receives the APR (Annual Progress Report).
Ms. Niloufer Wadia has been partnering with World Vision India for the last 20 years.
A sponsor’s testimonial brings great joy and comes as an inspiration to us, no matter how many times we hear from them!

The final performance!
It was a exhilarating moment to be part of the partner’s meet. It gives a great satisfaction that, the contribution – though small it is, is being well utilized. And by the way, my name is not Anandham as mentioned, but Ananthan.
